And then we've got the VFC, of course, that kind of ticks off.
And Leclerc manages to execute that with Ferrari fantastically well.
But even when that occurred, Antonelli's pace is so strong and the Ferrari just doesn't seem to be a match around a track like this.
It always felt inevitable that Antonelli was going to retake the lead, even with the gap where they had Norris in the way, where the matching power unit between Mercedes and McLaren maybe overtaking a straight line was slightly more difficult.
Once he got past the McLaren,
it felt like it was just a matter of time of when it will happen.
Not if it will happen, but when it will happen.
And it did.
And it felt quite matter of fact when he got past.
It wasn't much of a challenge.
Not that it impacted the end result.
I was interested when Antonelli came into the pit on what I think was lap 18, a couple of laps before the virtual safety car.
But there was a virtual safety car on that lap as well, but it ended before he came into the pits.
I was wondering whether they were
planning to pick because the VSC made an appearance and then they would just abandon that.
But they kept going with it anyway, maybe thinking that that was the right lap, regardless of whether there was a VSC or not.
But again, didn't affect the end result here.
Harry, what did you make of Mr. Antonelli's performance?
Just on that, were they not trying to cover off Verstappen anyway on that pitch?
They might have been.
