And Stacey, who is an aspiring music supervisor, has curated a mixtape for this final night that she is spending in her hometown with her friends.
And she wants everything to go perfectly.
And so you're following the friends as things run off the rails and also flashbacks to their entire high school experience and their origin story as friends.
Much of that can be quite affecting.

The suburban aspect, not so much for me, but two out of three ain't bad, I guess.
We've all seen this sort of story before.
Now, we've been subjected to so much 80s nostalgia that let the 90s have their turn for a while, let the 90s have their day before we move on to the 2000s, right?

it's really more Gen X nostalgia, right?
I mean, I guess I would qualify as an elder millennial, and these characters are several years older than I was.

Even if I was around, I just wasn't quite at that age.
But
yeah, obviously it's going to resonate with different people to different degrees.
And of course, this is from Beethoven and Dinosaur.
This is an Australian studio, right?
You know, maybe not perfectly channeling the American teen experience from the 90s.
And I've seen...
well, so many different criticisms, but one of them is that, when is this supposed to be said?
