I'm telling you, like, people didn't hate that movie on the whole.
So I think, you know, the Metacritic scores are lower because Rotten Tomatoes is just like, well, is it better than bad?
Like, does the good outweigh the bad?
Should you see this?
Do I recommend it?
Whereas Metacritic is more like...
you know, not just kind of a binary yes or no, fresh or rotten, but like, how good is this really?
And so, you know, those scores are a little lower.
But I think given what you would expect for not only a video game adaptation, but a video game adaptation of a fighting game franchise and the history of this one in particular, that's pretty solid.
And honestly, this movie was originally scheduled for release last October, and then it was delayed to this weekend.
And when a video game gets delayed...

It's like, this is not ready, right?
There's something wrong with this.
Whereas with a movie, in this case, I think it was actually a good sign that Warner Brothers wanted to delay it to summer blockbuster season because they thought that this thing had potential to make money.
Save it for Mother's Day weekend so you can take mom or grandma to Mortal Kombat 2.
Perfect timing.
Nothing new that's huge, right?
Mario and Michael and everything is still hanging around.
