Although I haven't exactly succeeded in that.

So, you know, hopefully I'm not singled out.

I guess I'll say I've made friends and I know people now who I think if someone were foolish enough to do something to me, I think there would be hell to pay.

I guess that's my hope.

I mean, I'm also feeling this thing as a middle-aged guy, father.

of like, I'm not happy with a lot of stuff that's happening in the world.

And I've been asked a lot, like, why are you speaking out on this?

I feel like my answer now is, if I can't, who can?

I'm a white, rich, college-educated man.

If I can't do it, isn't that setting a terrible example for everybody else?

You know what I mean?

I mean, not that people who aren't doing it are doing anything wrong.

I just feel like I have a responsibility.

And I feel like, weirdly, I'm way qualified for this.

It's a weird thing to say, especially for people that only know me from the OC.

But hopefully, if they've been listening for this long, they'll be like, okay.
