I don't think that it's going to lead to any sort of fracture, especially at this point in the season.

There are three games remaining.

Now, I would guess that there are individuals within that clubhouse

post that will view those comments and think man what are you what are you saying

on we can do better than this um and in the in a roster that includes 28 players i do think that some of them would look at that and think what are you doing like just just have a bit more accountability with the fans and simply say i'm going to do my best to do better

Don't talk about $500 million.

That's not an amount of money that a normal person makes.

And so a normal Jays fan that's sitting at home watching their star first baseman struggle at the plate, they probably just want to hear, I'm going to do everything in my power to go out there and perform better.

And so I would think that some players in the clubhouse would have that perspective, not necessarily voice it.

It's too late in the season to get into the politics of this.

But I think, by and large, they would support Vlad Jr., and I don't think that it would create any sort of rift into this final weekend.

I do think they need at least one bat from outside the organization, like at least one.

And that's even assuming that, hey, you try to get Vladdy on track.

Obviously, that's a huge priority.

Addison Barger, he's presumably going to get more than one hit in 2027, which is all he offered in 2026.

And Santander, too.

So you have guys that should perform better, but there are also injuries we can't anticipate, and there might be regression that we can't anticipate.

So you definitely have to go out.

And I think that adding a big bat of some kind needs to be priority number one.
