to me i bring that up to just point out how bizarre this has been um and now it's they're still gonna have to use him and this is where it's uncomfortable and i know that probably blue jays fans don't want to hear this because he has been so bad and the results have been so bad when you're talking about a 631 era and opposition hitting for such a high average against him and it's genuinely been a
Big reason that they've given up some significant leads and lost big games and their record could be better if he had performed to his previous levels.
So that's really frustrating.
But the path out of this still involves Jeff Hoffman.

I mean, look, I cannot kick it behind that.
no do you get bns war does not bns war does not support that uh evaluation bns war is constantly shifting around to whatever my whims are so um no it does not i think like it's i'm glad you bring this up because and and i think jesus fans you know i'm yeah i'm
yeah it's uh it's well hopefully not hopefully not that last part um but anyone who's stuck with us through an hour of the pod hopefully knows that we're we're not going to be taking the dfhf hoffman side of things i think you you're probably familiar with our with our commentary enough by now to understand that's not what's coming here in minute 64 of at the letters um but i think i'm with you big picture um
No, Jeff Hoffman should not be closing games.
He should not be in the highest of high leverage.
At the same time, yeah, they obviously need him.
And it would clearly be reckless and just a misunderstanding of the pitching landscape in Major League Baseball to cut ties with a guy who is doing so many things well.
Now, he's not doing enough things well.
But he is doing some things well.
it's tough to find pitching.
