And if the Blue Jays are in need of at-bats and Springer needs to play a little bit less, like five days a week as opposed to seven days a week, I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing.

And if Vlad Jr.

is hitting the leadoff spot a couple times a week,

I think that could work.

So I understand that generally speaking, players like having a certain amount of stability and continuity from day to day, but you got to win games.

And so if it means bouncing guys around a little bit more, I think that's a consequence of just trying to find what works on offense.

Yeah, exactly.

With Vlad Jr.

this season, it comes down to his approach, in my opinion, because he's a talented hitter.

And when he makes contact, the ball can still go a long way.

He can still hit it as hard as anyone.

But we've said this before.

When he expands the zone and when he chases, then he gives pitchers no reason to attack him in the zone.

And so he's either swinging and missing off the plate or he's making weak contact off the plate and getting himself out.

So we did see him take a basis loaded walk on Wednesday.

That's the kind of at-bat or plate appearance that we need to see more of from Vlad Guerrero Jr.

if he's going to get his season on track.

Because when he's expanding and chasing, as we've seen him do so much this year, his chase rate is career high.
