I was still staring at the exit, waiting for Hen, waiting for her to exist.

I felt like seeing her would give me a heart attack.

I'm fine, fine thanks, I mumbled.

I've been in a hot room.

Hot room, is it, Aiden, or whatever, laughed in that, like it was an innuendo.

But it wasn't an innuendo, this fucking guy.

I was pretty sure that it had been one of his kids involved in picking on my son a few years earlier.

No, ha, no, I mean, you know, working from home, heating's on.

I came out and the whole world is freezing.

Oh, right, yeah.

We stood there like that for a bit longer.

I could smell him now.

I remembered that smell.

And the more I could smell it, the more he reminded me of that shit with my son.

A couple of bigger kids in his class, one of them, I was now convinced.

Definitely Aiden or Andrew or Drew's son, whatever his fucking name was.

They'd been following my boy to the toilet, waiting until he was inside a cubicle and then kicking the end of the stalls, which caused all of the doors to open.

He always needed time on the toilet, you know.

He couldn't understand why they would do this.

It took us three weeks to get him to tell us why...
