And it was like, you know, this whole thing.

But I opened up Dawn and I couldn't understand it.

And I just couldn't.

It was like all this JSON stuff, all the JSON templates.

Yeah, I just couldn't figure it out.

I didn't understand how it mapped.

There were docs, but like, I don't read docs.

No one reads docs.

I didn't need to.

I had Liquid, right?

So that was this thing.

And I totally got that.

I understood why they did it.

They needed this serialization format to power the editor and to have all the sidebar stuff.

But it was, again, I said design is trade-offs and that's the trade-off they chose.

And it was the right thing for so many reasons for that whole era.

But now we're getting into this new era.
