They've got released by clubs and they've ended up at Chelsea.
My thing with Noonan is Noonan, again, is that stage career.
And I had this kind of same thing when we talked about Andy Moore last week where you need to develop.
And if you go to Chelsea, is player welfare and your development as a player really at the core of the issue or is profit?
And you lost Strasbourg and you might score...
five goals in 45 games 50 games they don't care how many goals you score as long as they can flip you for profit and that is my issue with going Chelsea if you go to the Bundesliga and you go to Hoffenheim their focus yes they're going to look to sell you on down the line but they're looking to develop you as a player Chelsea are just looking how can we flip you for more money you are you are not they're not looking at you the player and you the person they're looking at you as an asset
And how can we flip you for a couple more million down the line?
it's been talked about everywhere but James McLean's story is just fantastic that's something briefly I'll touch on because I'm sure everyone has heard about enough I can't wait to see how that unfolds and Derry have made some cracking signs Josh Thomason alone yes saw that last night when I watched him for Drogheda brilliant the problem was staying fit that's a brilliant signing with Norman Clarke has gone there Marky's gone there now to McLean am I right in saying Derry are going to be playing on grass pitch this year as well
it's a new pitch I don't know if it's grass but it is newly laid so it's going to be better than what they were playing on that regardless of whether it's grass or not it's going to be more I can't wait for that either I can't wait to watch Derry this season and I really and I did think every time I spoke to Tiernan Lynch and every time I watched Tiernan Lynch's Derry City they had a very clear identity that he was forming and towards the end of the season it was fully formed and I think these signings are just brilliant I'm really really excited to see Derry City next season
And even if you look at it from a football perspective, what this guarantees is the Brandywale is going to have 5,000 people there every week, no matter the fixture, which is brilliant.
And every time you watch highlights or if they're on Virgin Media from the Brandywale, it's going to be full.
And especially that new stand behind the goal where sometimes you watch it and look, the floodlights in the Brandywale, the new floodlights are a separate issue entirely that I have.
But
when you watch that new stand behind the goal sometimes it's not full and it makes it look really poor if they can square off both ends over the next course of the two years say that McLean is there you're looking at the full house four sides brand new stadium for every single Derry City game yeah the romantic side of Pat McLean as well signing this is quite nice too that's brilliant yeah do you want to say anything about McLean
on the break so I want to keep an eye on there I suppose as a player who could maybe start doing something ridiculous very quickly on that that's a very interesting long move in that it's only to the end of the season there's no buy option he obviously has it in his mind one I want to play at a higher level two if I do really really well here do I put the question exactly that's the point something I had been raising until Aaron Connolly got injured and I wouldn't have been surprised to have seen
For the game in March, I would stick with what you have and stick with Ryan Manning because it's what served you in Hungary.
Ryan Manning started in Hungary, Liam Scales started in Hungary.
The only... Jack Taylor dropped out.
The only kind of...
caveat to that is we know Hamer loves Robbie Brady and rightly so he loves using him on that left hand side and he's so integral to the way that Hamer wants to play but it's funny Robbie Brady wasn't around for the Hamer's two greatest results can you play Brady and Coleman in the same team at wing back both at wing backs left and right
