I wish everyone could see the angst on Cody.

This is the most important thing he's done this month, if not all summer.

The correct answer is minus 13.

He held their opponents 13 points below their regular season efficiencies when Victor Weminyama was on the court.

By the way, both he and Ben Wallace had about an eight point difference.

So they made, you know, without them, they were like minus five or whatever that five or six or something.

And they go all the way to minus 13.

That's just, we can bring up all the other numbers you want.

That is absolutely ridiculous.

And in fact, one of the things we've talked about over the years is not just looking at a number like that, but looking at what we call the common opponents.

So we say like, all right, look at the Knicks opponents and look at how everybody played the Knicks and compare the Spurs to how everybody else played the Knicks.

Look at the Thunder and look at all their opponents and compare how the Spurs defended the Thunder against everybody else.

Look at the Timberwolves and compare that to how the Nuggets defended the Timberwolves, whatever.

If we do that, the Spurs had the best defense of the playoffs, and they might have had the best defense.

I think they were one or two all-time when I checked the other day.

All-time.

So the point is they made it here because they did have a nuclear weapon in the center that just offset all of those things until it couldn't quite offset it enough.
