Th this play just blew my mind rewatching it.

The Knicks were completely stuck on offense at the end of the game.

This is like thirty seconds left or something like that.

And OG Ananobi gets the ball at the end of the shot clock with like two and a half seconds left on the shot clock.

And he drives to the bucket.

There might have been even less time than two seconds.

And he drives to the bucket and he tries a finger roll.

And the finger roll misses, but came off his finger with 0.1 seconds left on the clock.

And the ball was tipped out of bounds and kept alive for the Knicks.

So Ananobi getting that shot up on the rim the way he did with a drive that pulled a help.

Defender over that created the offensive rebounding opportunity to kick the ball out of bounds, got them a fresh 14-second shot clock in the final minute of the game, and that was the play where Jalen Brunson inbounded it, caught it back, and got a layup for the Knicks to take the lead in a game they would ultimately win by one point.

So it's just these little moments on the margins where uh the whole game counts the same.

All the points in the first half count the same as all the.

All the points in the fourth quarter, but San Antonio is just falling like literally just this far short of I mean, this is like a the flip of a coin, the uh a stiff breeze from the uh window in one of the arenas, and it could be three one Spurs, but you have to be able to make those big plays and tip of the cap not just to the superstars doing it in Anobi and in uh

uh Jalen Brunson, but players like Alvarado or Mitchell Robinson in these comebacks, in these moments.
