Well, I mean, I don't know.

I think everything has probably been articulated to some extent.
podcast-host
Um you know, d you know, uh this is where the Doomers get credit.
podcast-host
A lot of stuff they've talked about has come true.
podcast-host
Um, but this idea
podcast-host
Overall, we want me to set the stage.
podcast-host
When it comes to computing, speed is always important.
podcast-host
So I'm gonna make some assertions about speed and quickness that some people are like, like, uh, why would you want a slow computer out?
podcast-host
No, what we're this entire discussion is about trade-offs, scaling, all those sorts of things.
podcast-host
So let's have that up front.
podcast-host
If you're coding, of course you want the computer to be fast.
podcast-host
But
podcast-host
Everything that we've done with computing by and large has been uh the humans in the loop.
podcast-host
And as long as the human is in the loop, like we care like how fat like computers can like basically never be fast enough, right?
podcast-host
We we all we're we're always looking for them to for them to be faster, or at least fast enough for the human interaction speed.
podcast-host
If you think about it, think about from like an enterprise perspective.
podcast-host
You what
podcast-host
Why do enter why would an enterprise update computers like quite frequently back in the eighties and n or in nineties, even though they were much more expensive?
podcast-host
Yeah.
podcast-host
Because the more expensive asset are the human workers who if they're waiting around for the computer, you're sort of wasting time and money.
