I don't think it's been long enough, and I also don't think that she was around long enough for people to actually have got embedded hatred of the same variety.
I think it's a visceral dislike, but there's an understanding that she was a half-wit, and you can't necessarily blame a half-wit if they are sort of lumped into that position that they should have never been in the first place.
It's like you can't hate the village idiot if you give him a flaming torch and say, don't set fire to the barn, and he does it.
