Your next role after working in the press gallery at NITV was where I started hearing you regularly first, which was on Triple J News.
And one of the things I remember that really stopped me in my tracks was how you would greet us, the listeners, with Yama.
This is Hello and Gamilaroi, right?
Oh, that takes me back to a certain year right there and right now.
I just had a tingly reaction.
Was that something that you always knew that you were going to do and why did you want to do it?
Uh-huh.
Because they might not have heard Yama before?
Oh, wow.
That's a whole other level of culture.

While you were working at the ABC, you got the chance to make your own episode of ABC TV favourite, Backroads.
