And wealth inequality is really extreme, much more extreme than income inequality.
Right.
So if wealth is becoming relatively more important, then it will be increasing inequality.
Unless, of course, there's taxation or something to counterbalance that.
Yeah, so I think it comes down a lot to the time horizon that you're talking about.
And one of the big messages is just that it's hard to predict the effects, right?
Because if we have this pattern of like increasing, then decreasing importance, then, you know, if you jump to, you don't want to like leave too early because you miss the like increasing phase when you're getting like even more.
And like, we're definitely in that phase with AI engineers right now where, yeah,
You know, even if a bunch of AI research is automated, I mean, actually, let's say we're actually at a relatively low automation of AI R&D right now.
But even if we get to a point where a lot more has been automated, that remaining bit is really increasing in value because that's the thing that's the key bottleneck for AI progress.
And we're kind of seeing this with engineering roles now.
It's partly like, well, you get your agents to do loads of stuff and then you review their work.
But people are actually saying that they feel busier than before because essentially every individual engineer is turned into a manager of something.
10 AI agents, people are saying, well, what's bottlenecking us?
It's just code review.
Because so much code being produced and we can't review it quickly enough and vet it enough.
But if you have that skill, then that skill has become even more valuable than before.
All these things that are involved deeply in the AI economy probably increase in value a lot until
until you're basically at full AGI.
