These findings can also provide a baseline for accountability for civil society organizations to hold companies accountable if, in fact, the research demonstrates that they're gutting the implementation capacity, let alone undermining progress overall.
Yeah, I can address that, having been involved in recent months with Greenpeace US and Greenpeace International in making the case against these awful slap suits, of which this energy transfer suit against Greenpeace is a leading example.
We've seen in Europe and in the U.S.
and to some extent also in other countries efforts by companies to silence critics, particularly environmental and human rights NGOs, sometimes individual environmental or human rights defenders.
through these strategic litigation, so-called strategic litigation lawsuits.
And the single most notorious of those lawsuits right now is this energy transfer lawsuit falsely accusing Greenpeace of fomenting
instigating the protests that briefly shut down construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline, I believe in 2016.
That's in the Great Plains state of North Dakota.
So Greenpeace has been vigorously fighting in the courts, both in North Dakota, but also in the Netherlands.
And I spoke at a Greenpeace International event in Amsterdam in April to make the case, along with others from Greenpeace and other NGOs, that how insidious these suits are and that companies that bring them need to be held to account, along with the law firms that work with the companies.

the ability to express our views, positive, negative, critical and otherwise.
And companies need to be able to live with critics around the world.
