So players on the outside of the mall can continue to push and drive, but they're restricted from, prohibited from using their arms to pull or drag defenders.

The beyond the ball rule, once a player moves beyond the ball and is no longer involved in genuine contest for possession, they're no longer legally part of the mall.

So they have to leave the,

two triggers referees instruct the peanuts players if the contest of the ball is over and a player gets beyond the ball or moves into a pulling dragging position and then correct rejoining so if the player is up the side and deemed beyond the ball they must immediately leave the ball and retreat to the onside line and rejoin correctly so in the back so effectively what you shouldn't have is you've seen lots of situations where the nine will be trying to take the ball away and effectively there's been two opposition players right beside him and he's going to have to back away so

It makes it harder to break around the fringes as well the way it currently is.

And I actually think it's going to make it very, very hard to defend the mall.

So when teams kick to the corner, if you've got your mall detail right, I think you should be scoring more often than not.

Whereas what's been happening up to now is invariably it's, it's the meat made play away from it, or it's, it's kind of collapsed without the opposition, maybe the opposition brought down and they kicked the corner again, but it's been hard to convert those.
