The motivation is to try and work out how Leinster can be champions of Europe again and win a fifth star.
And when you do something that's different than other teams, and I know Leinster have had it in league games, they've had a player in the coaching box, but I think when you've lost your last four finals,
in the Champions Cup and you're playing a team like Bordeaux who just won it, I think you leave nothing to chance.
If there's any possibility, if there's a 0.01% chance that a coach can't be as direct as he needs to be.
I mean, for anyone who's been in a coaching box or in a pressurized game or near one, if your tickets have been near one, it can be quite raucous, raw environment.
Why?
Because those people, whether it's five, six, four coaches,
their focus for 80 minutes is to try and win the match.
That's all they care about.
It's now.
It's not development.
And so for... What really... This idea that the Champions Cup final is a great place to develop somebody, it's not.
You've worked for a year to get to a Champions Cup final.
It should be all about the 80 minutes, right?
And I have... Look, I didn't go off the cuff on this.
I shared that with coaches around the world who I'm friends with.
And I didn't ask them, I didn't set my narrative and say, do you agree with me?
I said, what do you think it is?
Is this a good thing?
