And it was so interesting because we taped earlier this morning and one of the agents said talent can break any rule, any so-called writing rule.

And it's interesting to me because last week I interviewed Jodie Picot and we were talking about her latest book, which does not have an inciting incident in the traditional sense.

Because generally you have an inciting incident, which you really have in this book.

dialogue if you don't know who the characters are because people are talking and the the reader's like, Well that's cool, but I don't know who this is.
