In 2023, a federal jury in Manhattan awarded Carroll $5 million in damages after finding Trump liable for sexually abusing and defaming her.
The award was tied up in a legal battle until last week, when the Supreme Court declined to hear Trump's appeal.
A federal judge then ordered the president to pay Carroll, along with three years' worth of interest.
An even bigger payment is looming in the dispute between Carroll and Trump, an $83 million award in a separate defamation case, which the president has also appealed.

The FBI arrested David J. Rush on May 19th after agents found hundreds of gold bars worth more than $40 million in his house in Northern Virginia.
The CIA says it called in the FBI to investigate Rush after he asked for gold and large amounts of cash last fall.
But it hasn't found any record of why Rush said he needed the money.
An FBI affidavit says Rush misled the CIA about his education and military record when he applied to the agency in 2009.
