You've got to recognize the power of your story.
You all come from a story.
I can trace our family lineage back on my dad's side for about six generations.
On my mom's side it's harder to do because they lost a lot of the records in World War Two, buildings burnt down, so we go back a couple of generations.
But none of us stand alone.
We don't stand by ourselves.
We're not the singular story.
We are not the one person.
We're part
Of a big giant narrative that God has been playing out over the generations.
And we just happen to be a bit in time there and we've lost our story.
We've lost our sense of connection.
They say that today that kids are it's like twenty five percent of 'em can't even name their grandparents.
Because of geographic movement, let alone their great grandparents.
We've lost this story that we're part of.
