So some of you guys might have heard about a US Supreme Court case.

Not a big deal, right?

Uh the the what happened is actually now it's hard to believe, sixteen years ago, Obama was president in the US and they passed something called Obamacare, which was really a big health care act.

And when they passed it,

One of the things that they put in the law

Is that companies, every company, must provide twenty prescription drugs for women.

Uh some of them were just birth control.

Not a big deal.

Hobby Lobby was happy to provide those, but that also required that every company provide four prescription drugs that would induce abortion or force abortion.

And every company was supposed to provide that.

But the problem with the law is it sa every company had to do this and if you didn't provide those four prescription drugs, then there would be a penalty that was a penalty per employee per day.

And by the way, the law did not apply or r or rather it had no discrimination on whether you were a man or a woman and if you were childbearing age or not.

So it was c clearly a punitive law designed to force compliance.

So you guys found yourselves with here we are, we're supposed to uh comply with this law and provide these drugs.

One point two million a day.

Not too many companies can afford to do that.
