He asked the Lord.
Oftentimes we talk about Solomon that he chose wisdom, and that's true.
But if wanna get technical, he actually chose a hearing ear.
He said, I want to be able to hear you.
And the Lord said
You have what you've requested.
Here's wisdom.
Because he knew that the wisdom he needed for life was dependent upon his ability to hear from God.
Every person in this room
knows how to hear from God.
And most don't know they know how to hear from God.
It's the simple question that we ask.
And then we anticipate an answer.
Just looking to him for direction automatically brings him into our world, into our environment.
And there are ways that God speaks that are so unusual.
He speaks so uh in so uh uh such unusual ways.
So Solomon then gets this wisdom and it's unparalleled wisdom.
