I have so many emotions and they're all positive and I am excited to be here.
People that are listening and watching this, you don't understand.
I have to take a deep breath to contain my excitement, not just because Rich Miller is here, because that in itself is just a shot of caffeine, but it's also the topic of conversation we're going to be having.
Rich, thanks for having me again, man.
Brilliant.
In case any of this audience has been living under a rock, the data center industry, we're having a moment.
We're having a moment, right?
And I think it's gone from a moment to what feels like an entire month squeezed into a moment.
Rich and everybody listening, so I am going to age myself a little bit, right?
I am a geriatric millennial.
Why you need to call me that?
I heard that on a radio station at one point.
They just call me an elder millennial.
And I graduated from college with a network engineering and telecommunications undergraduate.
So I'm one of those few people that if you ask a room full of folks, did you plan on being in the data center industry?
I'll sheepishly raise my hand like, yeah, I've always wanted to work in this stuff.
And I can tell you for a fact, and I bet even though I can't see or hear the people listening, you're going to have a lot of heads nodding that in my 21 years of experience, what I've seen and what we've all seen happen in the past 24 months has eclipsed these past two decades.
um that i've spent in this industry and and so when we when we started looking at the data center conferences in general um i i can tell you yes number one it's growing massively right so data center world specifically they gave me a fancy new title i am now the executive chair of data center
and Appcom.
But that gives me the opportunity to also oversee what is now officially, drum roll, the world's largest and longest running data center conference, which is now Data Center World.
