All the investment strategy and thesis is done by our team.

The other thing is that we're very aligned with not only other corporates, but other independent firms because we're both strategic and financial.

We want to build viable companies that can last.

And the whole idea is that you can't bring strategic returns if you don't have a financially viable company.

So you actually have to kind of think about investing in both of those kind of things.

I think what also differentiates us as a corporate is we have the Merck umbrella backing us in the sense that we can provide the portfolio companies opportunities to work with us.

know that can't be done by independent firms at all so we have we have that strategic component where we can have both the company learn from a big pharma how to work with them and then vice versa merck or another pharma learn how to work with some of these kind of technologies which they don't you know really know how to do in the past i think the other evolution for us too is you know we've always originally invested in platforms

We never invested in sort of these point solutions, these apps.

We always thought about emphasizing, you know, platform development.

And if you think about, you know, how we built the company or built the fund, you can see that everything's still over time is a big sort of platform type of company.

And I think what also differentiates us a little bit is our staff.

You know, we're we're

We're staffed with people that have experience across not only venture capital, private equity, but they have pharmaceutical operations, sales and marketing experience.

They come from the industry as well.

And understanding how not only pharma works, especially if you're doing pharma services, I think is a big differentiator.

You have to understand the problems that you're trying to solve.

The other thing I think that our team offers too, which I find a lot of independent firms struggle with is understanding how the whole healthcare ecosystem works.

We're a very complicated industry and we're the most heavily regulated industry and understanding all the touch points and how they're all connected.

That's important to know.

You know, most patients don't understand that even to get your prescription, 10 different entities touch it.
