highest officials in the state government out of the governor's office, including his chief of staff turned Attorney General, the Attorney General turned US Senator, to effectively misappropriate
ten million dollars in taxpayer money that was meant to
provide restitution to sick children in the state, and instead was improperly funneled into political campaigns specifically to defeat a measure.
You r remember a couple years ago there was a statewide constitutional amendment to legalize recreational marijuana, also to ensure that there would not be a statewide abortion ban.

And it turns out our money was misused for that purpose.
