And I've actually been a player that has had an injury that you just don't know whether your body's going to let you play again.

And I'm sure there would have been times for Flegg that he didn't know if he was going to get back on the field.

And all of a sudden, he's preparing this week to play a State of Origin game again for Queensland.

And he's had a great week.

I'm really looking forward to him bringing what he brings to his footy team on Wednesday night.

Yeah, we actually had Tom Gilbert and Tom Flegler come into camp last year up on the sunny coast just for a night, just for dinner.

More for them than anyone else just because they were going through long-term injuries and, you know, they'd been a big part of this squad.

They give so much and I know how much this team means to them.

So, you know, bringing them in and just having a feed with them and having a chat with them was probably more about them than it was about the team.

But having them around was great as well.

Yeah, I never thought I'd be coaching State of Origin, Gordie, to be honest.

And here I am sitting on a field coaching State of Origin.

So I would never say never.

I love the game.

It's given me so much.

I was the four-year-old kid.

playing rugby league in under eights and here I am doing something that I love.

So I would never say never but my stance hasn't changed.

My mind hasn't changed on where I'm at in my life at the moment.

It's an all-in approach to be an NRL coach.
