So I think for Kurt Cignetti, yes, you have to give them a ton of credit.
He's come in and gone 27-2 in the last two years, 16-0 national champions, rebuilt the losingest program in college football to now being national champions.
It is a phenomenal story.
It's going to be one of the best in college football.
They may even make a movie out of it one day.
But
just from the Ohio State perspective, leaving something on the field, losing, not playing your best, is the reason they have to have that 70 in that regret column, to me, just because of how that game went.
And then also, I think we all believed Ohio State was going to get a shot at getting to Indiana again in the national championship game.
And then you lose to Miami by the same way.
And you didn't play your best again.
You couldn't block Hakeem Mesidor and Reuben Bain and that Miami defense.
And then...
Because we saw from the press box, receivers were running free.
I wasn't really mad at the play calling from Ryan Day and Ohio State in that game.
They just didn't have time to execute.
And then they don't get that shot in the end, and you're like, wow.
We lost two games, and we didn't play at our best in those moments.
Well, now that I'm thinking about this, Omar Cooper got hurt in that game, too.
So I also wonder...
