He grew up in rural Tennessee, but real estate was the dream.

He was only one step ahead of the students, but he kept at it and got better.
Good enough that he started posting videos.
And he saw that social media algorithms really like line dancing.
Then came the video that turned Tennessee Backroad into a line dancing brand.
Under the glow of kitchen lights and socked feet, he shows his young niece a few steps to a Shania Twain song.
Hundreds of thousands of views in the first day, then millions.
Shania herself made one of those reaction videos.
Song-specific line dances were taken off online, so he just kept gigging and clipping.
He now has more than 300,000 followers on TikTok.
Work started flowing his way, especially when Beyonce put out her Cowboy Carter album.
He's comfortable choreographing Cotton Eye Joe or songs by Drake.
