Like, what is the, again, I'm asking a lot of questions here, but that's all.
You know, like for this deadline that you're trying to hit, is it a thing of, hey, if we don't hit this, then we get pushed to later than mid 2027, right?
We're talking about late 2027 or even 2028.
Does that get us in trouble with PlayStation or missing out on bonuses because we're not hitting our deadlines, right?
Like I'm sure all that comes into play when you're Naughty Dog and trying to figure out when to put out your next game.
But like, yeah, it's such a weird thing to balance because we are talking about,
Putting out something that the artists believe in is a 10 out of 10 and critically and everybody satisfied and all that stuff versus like waiting forever for it.
has anything really changed i mean the team sounds like it doesn't even exist anymore at least the way we had originally understood it yeah yeah you would hope that like to your point there's communication as far as hey like we're gonna give you time off or like we're gonna pay you a bonus on top of your bonus right like money speaks if you want me to be here that late like fucking pay me um maybe there's something like that but again who knows i think
For me, the words I read here as far as the details of this, it being seven weeks, it being you can't be here past 60 hours, but we're still asking you to be here a certain amount of time past the 40 we expect of you.
I guess I worry less about that, more so about where we're at a year from now when the game is about to release, hopefully about to release.
Two years from now, right?
Yeah, I'm thinking a year and a half.
Sorry, sorry, sorry.
And I guess I say a year from now because that's when I would imagine it starts as far as, hey, we're crunching.
It's not seven weeks.
Now it's six months toward the end, trying to barrel toward the mid of 2027.
I think that's where the fear starts to pop up as far as the culture, Naughty Dog and crunch culture and all that.
Yeah, as you read through these, I think there's something individually that each of these sites do that I would highlight as fantastic this year.
Whether it's Aftermath and how they continue to operate as an independent journalistic outlet that provides unique perspective and really good op-eds.
Whether it's Game Informer that was this year the year that they came back from the dead.
