Well, I mean, I own every console, like PS5, an Xbox.
Xbox was close to launch.
The Nintendo I bought a year after launch, maybe, or two.
Two years, maybe, yeah.
It just seemed like the same price.
But I never really paid that much attention, I think,
lot of people probably didn't pay that much attention just we are this year because of the ram and you know that discourse yeah it's front and center so it makes sense that the console generation goes down towards the end because less people are buying especially if the new one you know the new one's coming and they miss that one maybe they'll wait so it makes sense that the price goes lower because you might encourage people to pick it up and then you form a habit and then you get the new one anyways i think that's the thinking
But I think it's just a reflection of how much components are costing now.
I don't know if it's a reflection on Sony or the console.
I think that's a downstream effect from the RAM thing, which seems signs are starting to point to OpenAI has been canceling some of its contracts.
They put in orders for the stuff, right?
It's not like they're buying it now.
They're making commitments
purchase over X amount of years, and it looks like some of those are already starting to cancel.
So, you know, this may be like...
a case where you know if these start going unfulfilled they'll return to their old ways but
cartel if you watch this isn't a first-hand opinion as i just say it's a second-hand opinion from various content creators but generally speaking because of the the choke points in ramp like this kind of manufacturing there is a bit of a cartel situation going on so
If they withhold supply from the market for a while, just because they're back to selling to consumers, I'd say, doesn't necessarily mean they'll all lower the prices.
