It happens a couple of times a month, few times a month where I run into somebody who says, Oh, you're hiking Bob and um I know when I have a friend hiking with me, they roll their eyes like, Oh geez, here's another one who knows who he is. matched

don't it's cool and I always take time to talk to people and I learn things from them and they learn hopefully they learn stuff from me, or we just say hi. matched

I don't let it obviously I don't let it go to my head. matched

It d you know, it's it's humbling when somebody recognizes you and and says, Oh, you're hiking Bob and and we chat for a few minutes. matched

Um, they're typically people who follow me on Facebook or on Instagram or something like that. matched

So they kinda know me or they listen to the podcast or read the columns or all of the above. matched

So they know kind of what to expect, I think. matched

I try to be what you know, what's you know, there's a matched

you know, um, never want to meet your heroes. matched

Not that I'm a hero to anybody, but um I kind of believe that. matched

But I also don't want to be the person who says, Yeah, boy, you don't ever want to meet that guy. matched

He turned out to be a real jerk or something like that. matched

So I I I I'm obviously, you know, taken aback when somebody recognizes me, but I always want to be authentic with them and have a chat with them and matched

And maybe exchange some information or just say hi and how you do it and how you enjoy the hike and matched

You know, where are you guys going next and what are you doing and stuff like that? matched

It's just fun to do that. matched

So it it's kinda cool when that happens. matched
