And the Catawba Ridge.

So I went up one trail and came down the other, kind of made a loop out of it.

This was in North Carolina.

So this was special to me for a couple of reasons.

One, I'd never been to North Carolina.

I just got near the day before.

I was on this trip.

This was June 14th, 3.82 miles round trip.

There's a couple of things special.

I planned this trip all on my own, the solo trip.

My goal was to go out and take pictures of waterfalls.

Patreon listeners, you probably remember you got a calendar that year with the waterfall pictures, not just from North Carolina, but from other places.

This was special for a couple of reasons.

They had recently just weeks, the week before I got there, opened this trail after reconstructing it.

So if I was there the year before a week earlier, I wouldn't have been able to do this one.

And out of all the waterfalls I shot, this was the most beautiful one there.

I actually set up my tripod in the basin below the waterfall to get pictures.

Almost dunked my camera, which would have been bad for the first day of this trip.

Oh, yeah.

But it was a stunningly beautiful waterfall on a newly constructed trail.
