I think what he's seen from Malkin this year will probably make him... He's been a very good player when healthy, despite his age.
Well, I think that's what general managers do.
They don't give away their plan early.
They let it simmer and see how it goes.
Now, they did have a conversation and Malkin, I think, came away encouraged by that.
But I think at this point, I mean, you could sign him now if you wanted to, but they're going to wait and see how it all plays out, and I think that's probably the thing to do if you're a general manager.
No, I don't think so at all.
First of all, I think Malkin, to his team, he's a better player than McCutcheon was to his team.
So I think he's more important in that role.
So I think that's sort of apples and oranges.
But still, we're talking about iconic players in the city, and he's certainly one of them.
One of the top players in the game, when you look back at his history, he's been underrated nationally.
But he's still, if you look at the numbers, let's check those numbers because I saw them here the other night.
And for when he's played, he's a plus 12 this year.
In 50 games, he has 53 points.
So that's a point per game.
When he's in there, there's certain value.
Again, I emphasize the part with Chinnikoff.
So what does he make?
