So today is a day to pound your chest.
Today is a day to celebrate.
Today is a day to go down to the ballpark and enjoy your favorite baseball team that for the first time in our lives...
has a young core that could potentially maybe at some point rival that of Crosby and Malkin, and I don't think that's hyperbole.
Man, and it goes deeper than that, too, like a little bit.
I was just thinking of this.
Like, there will be a day where we'll see two 1-1s on the field and two top 10s on the field at the same time.
Like, Nick Gonzalez maybe at third base, Connor Griffin at shortstop, Skeens pitching, and Henry Davis behind the plate.
Like, I mean...
that's kind of how you draw it up a little bit, and you hope that they can pan out, but that's pretty significant.
And then obviously you say you have basically your Batman and Robin City crowds, but you're getting Malkin and Skeens and Griffin.
This is a time that we should be celebrating.
Now, we'll see how it pans out, but this is a time we should be celebrating because the Pirates are actually doing something significant financially, and the guys on the field have been somewhat performing that you've been wanting to see perform.
Yeah, you win three out of six on the road to start your season whenever you were 27 games under .500 on the road last year.
That's nothing to scoff at.
And you've got Mitch Keller on the bump.
That's another guy that they've paid, by the way.
