Maybe three, but two things is that jumped uh to mind.
One
Running outside zone is so much more effective from under center just because you're adding depth and uh the timing makes more sense and and you can kind of get downhill.
Uh so running outside zone from shotgun is just not the same.
It's not nearly as uh as potent.
So that's big.
But number two, and more importantly, that's how we we have play action.
Um from shotgun
Your play action is not nearly as effective on defenders, but from under center, there's plenty of research on this.
The linebackers and even the safeties cannot help but take two steps forward when they think you're handing the ball off.
And that opens up those dig routes, those seams, everything b between them and the safety.
It it just opens up the middle of the field and makes your quarterback uh that e much easier.

So so there you go.
A couple things.
Uh number one, having him under center takes away numbers.
It just does.
If you're under center the whole game, you're not gonna be passing for five hundred yards, which reminds me of Dale Hansen talking about if you flip Troichman and Dan Marino.
Marino would not win uh in Dallas because he would not be able to handle handing the ball to Emmett thirty times.
Now that's completely subjective and a and sounds a little homerish to me, but he's kind of right.
