And and unfortunately, and he missed that whole year in twenty twenty four because of uh was that a camp ACL?
I'm trying to remember.
But yes, it was a camp.
He's never really never really been the same since, you know.
And and so you got the twenty-five year to to sort of um reemerge.
He did play seventeen games, but but just the one sack and very very few memorable things.
Things.
He also was memorable for some uh very ill-advised uh penalties along the way.
Um, one of those guys that that you would be quick to to send off the bus first because Sam Williams was a was one of those bodies that's that's rare, you know, at at like 6'4, 265 or whatever.
I mean, he's he's built like DeMarcus Ware.
And so you want to give him every opportunity to realize that with you, but at a
certain point.
Again, the train keeps moving, the conveyor belt keeps turning, and uh either you're part of our development and we're happy with all of your habits and all of the things you do or we're gonna move on to the next guy because this is a competitive league.
And um you know I I I think it speaks well that guys like Malik Davis and James Houston can make this team.
Because in the past, uh, like I said, they would have to play with uh with w one hand tied behind their back because they were not
um coveted draft picks where we could uh you know confirm our biases because we picked them and therefore, you know, we blessed you know, the we we are we are dependent on them looking good and and this year, you know, I didn't think James Houston would make this team for for a number of reasons.
But uh in the end, his film did the talking.
And so they put him on the roster.
And they put Malik Davis on the roster.
