You knew eventually during the season here there was going to be some type of blow-up, right? You just didn't know when it was going to be, and then it happens sometime in late December. So you could say, well, they should have just traded him this summer, right? That would have probably made the most sense from a clean standpoint, and you're not dealing with this. They elected not to do it.

From a common-sense perspective, and I know we're probably throwing common sense out the window a little bit here, the best thing for him to do is when the extension is lifted for him to report and play a Friday night against Denver and Saturday, a Sunday against San Antonio and play like a, an all NBA type level player. Like that's the best approach for Jimmy Butler.

I think at the end of the day for Miami, you know this, they're not trading him for Bradley. They're not going to go out there and appease Jimmy Butler because Phoenix is the number one choice for Jimmy Butler. but they're not taking back Bradley Beal and $110 million. And what other deals are out there to make?

If I'm a team like Memphis and I'm trading some expirings and maybe Marcus Smart or even Brandon Clark and I get to give a first round pick, just hypothetical, I might take a swing for that for the next four months with Jimmy Butler on my team.
