Yeah.

Because I would have told myself lies for a long time.

And even the thought of getting help, the fear and the shame connected with getting help was so great that I was so scared to do it.

I mean, I find it incredible even now to believe that this is what I did looking back, but I couldn't even Google it.

I couldn't even put it into my phone out of fear somebody might see it or they might find it and they might find out my big, deep, dark secret.

And that was the level of fear and shame that I had that I couldn't look at it.

When I actually did go to get help, that was a little bit later when I met my now wife, Fiona.

We were in the early stage of our relationship and the problem was still there.

I was telling myself it wasn't going to be, it was, and went on for a few weeks and obviously I could only do so much.

I couldn't have sex.

And eventually she just said to me, Bob, what's wrong?

What is going on here?

I know you feel this way about me, but you're not showing it.

And I just eventually was like, okay, I've got a moment here.

I love this woman.

I think I want to spend my life with her.

Either I tell her or I live like this for the rest of my life on my own.

It was so, so difficult.

I'll never forget.
