And I think being able to add Freddie as somewhat of a stabilizing force to help lead our rotation.

Probably gives a little bit of space to some of our younger pitchers.

Have you thought about an extension for Peralta?

He's got the one year, I think it's $8 million.

I've already asked him that question.

Well, I mean, a lot of times you go get a guy and you sign him to an extension.

So, yes, they did ask him.

I'm not going to speculate on that on day one here.

We'll let Freddie get acclimated to the organization, and any conversations that we may have or have in the future, I think we're going to do our best to keep private and not talk about publicly.

But you also have this looming work stoppage likely next season as well, so who knows what they do.
