So it's not like he's a guy that's got like this eight-pitch arsenal that's keeping everybody off balance.
He's attacking guys constantly, constantly, constantly, and he knows he's got great stuff.
He believes in himself.
Now, I know this Mariners lineup has been a little bit disappointing to start the year.
Their top three guys have been brutal, but they're still really good hitters over the course of their careers, and he's just picking them off one by one like it's nothing.
So it's something to be really, really excited about.
I would have liked to have seen him go deeper into the game.
It was only 79 pitches, I believe, when Aaron Boone came and got him.
But we know this is the world these days.
He's probably thinking, hell, I mean, we're smacking his team around.
You know, we got a 4-0 lead at this point, even though they cut into that, made it 4-2 before the Ben Rice home run.
But you've got to be absolutely thrilled watching this guy if you're a Yankee fan.
So now...
Cam Schlittler and the idea of Garrett Cole coming back and still having good years left at the top of that rotation with Max Freed, that right there, if you want to get excited about the New York Yankees, it starts and ends with that.
Obviously, we know the offense, what it could be with Aaron Judge, but my goodness, the top of that rotation, the potential that it has with Schlittler looking like this is through the roof.
That's two starts for him now, and...
It just โ it looks too easy.
And I understand, you know, when Boone came out to get him yesterday, you know, he had 79 pitches, and you were all sitting there going, like, what are they doing?
Like, why are we pulling him out?
But I think it also was to get Bednar some work because he hadn't worked at all.
