NBA All-Star break has arrived.
Before it did, LeBron James becoming the oldest player with a triple-double in league history.
A little sampling of his work from last night at home against the Mavericks, courtesy of the great Ian Eagle.
Yes, it was.
That was to Ian from last night's Prime Video coverage.
28 points, 12 assists, 10 rebounds, and a Lakers 124-104 home win over the Mavs.
So 41 years and 44 days old, breaking the record previously held by Carl Malone.
How about James scoring or assisting on the Lakers' first 23 points of the game, which was his longest such streak to begin a game in his entire 23-year career.
So a little token nugget for him in that one there.
I just referenced the going home trip the other day, right?
Yeah.
With the German Shepherd?
Yep.
And I'm picturing him when you described it with the hands in the air.
That's a memory.
For sure.
Free agent forward Jeremy Sohan set to join the Knicks after he eventually clears waivers from the Spurs.
The 22-year-old had 10 interested suitors, but chose the Knicks as his new team for the remainder of the season.
And just so we get a little hat tip to Leon Rose here, because I don't know who it was noted that the movement by the Knicks here, where they trade Yabasele for Terry and then flip Terry for Alvarado, and they basically shed salary, which allowed them to even make this move and open up a roster space.
Right.
