I've played this movie 35 times, maybe.
And I've sat through it every time.
Boisterous laughter.
Sometimes I'm worried people aren't getting the dialogue because they're laughing over certain parts.
And, you know, it's crazy.
So my thing is, in the same way with my music...
If I keep you dancing, I got you.
In this case, all of that stuff, whatever.
If I keep you laughing and keep you interested and keep you on the edge of your seat and and feeling surprised and engaged, then then I have license to do almost anything.
So but it's it ends up being a balance because.
if I'm gonna do this thing that says, hey, it's like A, B and C, I have to have something that's still pulling you in.
And so that's actually been the thing that I've honed for 30 years.
This is my second film, but it's not my second thing.
And I think what makes the film work is that it just works on a basic level.
And then you think about like, oh,
This is what he's saying.
But it's very clear what I'm saying.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And I like art that does that.
