But you just get the feeling that he's built for this arena.
And to see him go about his business in camp, he's just been pretty switched on.
Normally he's a bit of a larrikin around the group, but you can see a real focus in his eye and the way he's been training and the way he's been around the group.
He is 28 now, so he's sort of getting to that stage in his career where he's maturing a bit.
He knows what works for him, his preparation.
And, yeah, he's been outstanding around the boys.
And, yeah, I just can't wait to see him on Wednesday night.
Yeah, I think just his experience, really.
You know, I've seen the other day, his next game, he'll go to third outright in games for New South Wales, which, you know, it doesn't sort of surprise me.
But, you know, I think he's been playing in this arena.
I think his debut was 2016.
And he's been captain of this team.
He's captain to a series win.
Just his experience and his calmness around the boys.
We've got a few new debutants and some guys that have been a little bit inexperienced in this stage.
Just to have a guy like Teddy around, obviously with the form he's been in, but just for them guys to just look at him around training, in team meetings, just how calm and clear he speaks.
It just rubs off on the rest of the group.
We've got a great group of leaders in our team.
Obviously, Isaiah Yeo, Nathan Cleary.
So, yeah, he's sort of just been able to focus on his footy and sort of get his combinations right.
