I'm still not over the fact that they claimed the CDC had the authority to halt evictions nationwide based on a dusty old federal statute about fumigating buildings.
So they actually fought in court to preserve the eviction moratorium.
as a power unilaterally given to the CBC director by a statute originally about fumigation.
I mean, it was farcical, really.
Well, I don't know.
I think to some extent, but these agencies, it's like a massive ship.
Turning it around is very slow.
And frankly, what you have is typically in a Republican administration, most of the rank and file civil servants are not really fully aligned with your vision.
So I'm kind of pessimistic that they are able to enact that much change.
But certainly, I mean, at the top level, some of the policy decisions and outcomes will definitely be different.
See, I believe that these professors know exactly what the correct answer is, or these medical school leaders.
