good defense starts in net and uh hopefully we can get Anthony back here before too long but certainly a a a focus of us going back to to the summer was trying to upgrade our defense and and the new people that have come in.
Yeah, I think it comes with the territory, Bob.
You know, those two players are really good players.
So I c I can speak to Morgan in our situation.
Morgan's been a r a a real good player here for a long time.
Um I think if you ask Morgan his his his game right now and and um his play probably is below what he expects.

Um but, you know, you look back at the history um of Morgan and the league, he's been a really good player for a long time and and you know, I I think
you know, the the ebbs and flows of a season, the ult ultimately, whether it be Morgan with us, Evan with Edmonton, any other player, when you're a top player there's there's expectations and uh there's expectations because you are a top player and you're a good player.
So um, you know, I know uh Morgan's working hard to to to get back I know th sometimes everybody translates it into points.
Um you know, g going back to the earlier
um topic we talked about in terms of just style of play.
I know Craig and the staff has worked with Morgan.
to try to take a little bit take a little m more risk out of his game.
Um that's not to say, you know, he he's an important cog for us in terms of moving pucks, uh, you know, generating pucks, uh generating offerings from the back.
Um, you know, hopefully hopefully um you know it goes for all of our defensemen.
That that's been an area that's you know we struggled with is is production from the blue line.
So we're hopeful that can
turn but I I've got every belief in Morgan and and his abilities that uh you know he can get to the level that that not only he expects that we expect um and he can continue to help us win.
