Now, I would ultimately say, I would love for them to bring in one, I'll say it again, Lucas Giolito, but do they want to kick one of these other guys to the curb when maybe they have something in them, even like a Senga, a Minaya, whoever it is?
And then, of course, you have the time-honored tradition of saying how awesome the Seattle rotation is.
Ooh, Gilbert.
Kirby, Castillo, Bryce Miller, all of that.
So we know that.
We understand that.
So they're obviously lumped in in the top of the rotation.
That's fine.
But I do want to say this, is that you look at some of these other rotations, and in terms of being the be-all, end-all, the type of groups, the pitching groups that you might be able to ride, well, obviously, this is what the Texas Rangers are doubling down on after finishing...
first in all of baseball in ERA last year, but yet only going 81 and 81.
They doubled down by getting Mackenzie Gore.
So you have DeGrom, you have Uvalde, you have Gore, you still have Leiter, and you have Rocker.
Once again, I'll say it again, boy.
What a difference it would be, even if they need bats, but what a difference it would be to get one more proven guy.
And then you have the wild card, which is the ultimate wild card, which is the Pittsburgh Pirates.
But Pittsburgh, we all know, they were really, really good in pitching.
I mean, they didn't have a good record.
They were one of the preeminent examples of how you can't just have pitching and not have hitting.
Well, you had Skeens, you had Keller, you had Bubba Chandler, Ashcroft, Jones.
So you have guys coming up, and you have a good foundation there.
