Like they'll inject their own little personality and and wit into it, which I think helps a lot to make it stand out.
Because, you know, with all these emails, I'm more likely to to keep reading if, oh, you had something a little funny in there or something a little more charming.
That sort of thing really helps stand out, I think.
Yeah, sometimes it's a bit of both.
Uh, I think recently, um, it was definitely personalized towards me because, uh, they do a really good job of knowing, you know, when games are Canadian and, and who might be best to reach out for that.
Like in the past couple of weeks, I did a feature on a new studio in Edmonton, Studio Reset, which was three former Bioware veterans and
They reached out to me personally to pitch that Evolve because they know I can have a lot of Canadian games, or they pitched me a big feature I did on Red Barrels in Montreal, which makes Outlast.
They just turned 15.
They had their 15th anniversary, so I did a big feature on them for that as well.
So they did a really good job.
One of their PR reached out to me via LinkedIn directly, and the other one was just an email pitch, but...
In both cases, you know, they sort of knew who they were pitching and made it more personalized.

Like the big story with that was like it was two brothers from Saskatchewan who, you know, kind of remortgaged their homes and went all in on making this game or even something like Bellator.
Like we don't actually know who that guy is, but just the sort of story of, oh, it's one dude from Saskatchewan.
making this popular game like that kind of adds to it.
