Because most people do that wrong.
Here's the net of it, though.
If you're not committed to personal development beyond where you're at today, if you're not willing to grow your awareness, if you're not willing to really judge your overall effectiveness,
If you're not willing to test into your own ideas on are you actually evolving as a remarkable leader or are you relying on what you've already developed for leadership skills?
You have to be honest with yourself because when things stop working, you've tapped out your lid.
And then you're going to start defaulting to blaming everything around you when the truth is that simply you chose not to continue to grow your lid.
So the resources for this, there's plenty of these resources.
Now it goes over to mentors.
And it goes over to advisors.
And what I'll tell you is most people are communicating entirely to the wrong mentors and wrong advisors.
They're what I call polling, asking people, what would you do?
And what do you think I should do?
And how did you do it?
Or how would you do it?
Well, the problem is they don't know what they really want to do.
